Add beautiful source code examples with Carbon in your presentations

Have you ever attempted to copy and paste source code into a PowerPoint slide or Google Slide?

If you’ve tried copying and pasting source code directly from your code editor, you may have noticed that the code highlighting is often not preserved accurately.

To preserve highlighting, there are various options available, including:

  • Using Powerpoint Objects (Insert > Object > Create new). Select Microsoft Word Document and paste the code.
  • Using tools like Notepad++ (Window users). From Notepad++, select all your code and from menu use Plugin commands and Copy Text with Syntax Highlighting. Paste it with the option Keep Source Formatting into MS Word. Then paste it from MS Word into your presentation.
  • Using Google Docs. You can use the option Insert > Building blocks > Code block, and paste the code from your preferred IDE.
